What: To provide and to serve with the love of Christ a free, nutritious monthly meal to the community. 

Why:  The financial and emotional needs surrounding us continue to rise as demonstrated by the fact that Cortland Area Cares now is providing monthly groceries to an increasing number of families.  The brokenness in people’s lives regardless of income is evident.  But, the ultimate reason for doing this is because we feel after much prayer, silence, and shared conversations that God is calling BCC to this task.   

Vision:  This monthly meal would be an outreach to those in the surrounding communities who hunger.  Everyone who comes will be fed; no one, regardless of abundance or lack in income, will be turned away because a person’s hunger can be for food, for fellowship, or for a sense of community.   In addition, we as a community of faith will be given the opportunity to serve those who are in need, and to do so with love and compassion as Jesus did when he fed the five thousand.   

When:  The third Saturday of every month seems to be available for this community dinner. 

Where:  Fellowship Hall, Bazetta Christian Church.
